The Gospel - it's the Story of Jesus, the purpose of life, & really good news

God, the Creator, is love. He made us all because He wants to be close to us, in a thriving love relationship.

After He designed human beings, He breathed His own life into them and they came alive. But the people decided they didn't want to be close to Him, so they turned away from Him and began making dark decisions. We (mankind) brought sin (which brought all the evil) into the world, and that sin separates us from God.

The punishment we deserve for our sin is death - to be eternally separated from this perfectly good God. He didn't want this for any of us, so He went to the most extreme to rescue us - God only has one Son, and that Son became a Man. God sent Him to the earth so He could live and die in our place. His name is Jesus. He took our punishment.

Jesus lived for 33 years, a perfect life without any sin, then the sinful people He loved nailed Him to a Cross, and He let them. It's why He came to the earth - to take our death punishment.

After He died, He went to Hell, the place where all evil and darkness comes from, and He took the keys! Then He conquered death! He is stronger than our sin! Stronger than our shame! Stronger than all of Hell! He's alive! He's now in Heaven, longing for all of us to accept what He did for us, entering into relationship with Him.

He fights for our love.

We can know Him! If you want to, it's simple. You can start a conversation with Him right now. He's listening to you. If you say to Him something like,

"Jesus, I believe all of this - that You're God and You died and now You live. I want to know You. Forgive me for my sin and come into my life. Teach me how to know You. I want to!"

He'll come in and continue showing you His love. Forever.

Getting to know God is the best of everything life has to offer. It's why He made us.

He's brilliantly beautiful.

If you need a Bible or want to talk about Jesus -

2 Peter 3:9
He does not want any to perish but all to come to repentance.

John 3:16
For this is how much God loved the world - He gave his one and only, unique Son as a gift. So now everyone who believes in Him will never perish but experience everlasting life.

Romans 2:4
Do you realize that all the wealth of his extravagant kindness is meant to melt your heart and lead you into repentance?
